Two Great Hockey Fights in a Habs Game vs the Coyotes

Saturday 15 May 2010 @ 10:27 pm

Georges Laraque of the Montreal Canadians get revenge on the Phoenix Coyotes for a dirty hit that Kurt Sauer did on Andrei Kostitsyn of the Habs.

Laraque, one of the greatest fighters in the NHL for the last decade, takes on Todd Fedoruk and easily gets him to the ground! Not much trouble for Georges Laqaque. After that embarrassing fight, Kurt Sauer ends up fighting Tom Kostopoulos of the Habs and takes him down.

Two great hockey fights in a great hockey game. Gotta love Laraque’s fighting skills!

LNAH Huge Hockey Brawl

Friday 14 May 2010 @ 6:05 pm

Here’s a hockey fight video from another hockey league other than the NHL. A few of you might’ve heard of the LBAH, that is the “Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey” which is based out of Quebec in Canada. It is known at the most violent hockey league in the world as most games end up with many fights. The Wikipedia article says “The LNAH has the unofficial reputation as the world’s roughest hockey league”.

From 1996 to 2004, it was known as Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League and is composed of hockey players who want to remain pro but can’t make it into the higher leagues.

Here’s a great bench clearing hockey brawl between Thetford Mines Isothermic

Quick and Fast Hockey Fight During Bruins vs Habs Game

Friday 14 May 2010 @ 6:10 am

Great extreme hockey fight video of a battle between Shawn Thronton of the Boston Bruins and Georges Laraque of the Habs. There are some great punches thrown in this quick and fast fight. Laraque seems to win it as he manages to pin Thonton on the boards in front of the bench.

Link Gaetz vs Bob Probert Hockey Fight

Friday 14 May 2010 @ 5:11 am

A great old time hockey fight video between Bob Probert and the renown Link Gaetz. Link Gaetz was one of the most animated hockey enforcers of his era. He was big and full of heart. First fight between the two big enforcers too!

In this video, Gaetz and Probert go at it with all their emotion and heart, with a lot of fast and hard punches, and a lot of determination from two of the main enforcers of the 90s. There’s no clear winner unfortunately in this fight as Gaetz gets cut and the fights is called off. Not too much blood either.

Just a story to tell you guys what a character Link Gaetz. When he was playing towards the end of his career in the 2004-2005 season for the Thetford Mines Prolab of the LNAH, he got pissed off at being sat on the bench for the first two periods. To take out his anger, he goes and orders a hamburger from a concession and eats it. Unfortunately his LNAH team didn’t find it funny and suspended him for the rest of the season.

Just check out this guy’s photo:

Good Old Goalie Fight with Roy and Osgood

Thursday 6 May 2010 @ 7:01 am

My favorite hockey rivalry was the one between the Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Redwings in the late 1990s. They were two of the best teams of that time and would often meet in the most spectacular playoff series.

Here is one of the best hockey fights ever! Patrick Roy, a hockey goalie legend, and Chris Osgood square off in a heated game and now a heated battle. The announcer of this fight is loving it and gives some amazing commentary.

Enjoy this great goalie fight!

Todd Fedoruk of the Philadelphia Flyers gets Knocked Out

Tuesday 4 May 2010 @ 4:27 am

Todd Fedoruk and Colton Orr decide to fight each other barely 20 seconds into the first period of the hockey game. The fight seems pretty even at first but then, as seen in the hockey fight video, Orr does a crazy overhead punch and lands it square on Fedoruk’s jaw. Fedoruk gets knocked out and lies on the ice without moving.

He’s ok in the end, just part of the game.

NHL Giant Chara Fights Normal Sized McCabe

Monday 3 May 2010 @ 4:40 am

The tallest and biggest NHL player, Zdeno Chara at 6 foot 9, 255lbs, get pissed off at Bryan Mccabe. Chara used to be known as the Gentle Giant when he used to play for the Ottawa Senators. Not in this hockey fight video as Mccabe of the arch rival Toronto Maple Leafs finds out.

McCabe was taking some cheap shots with his stick on Chara in front of the net. Chara eventually has enough ans takes down McCabe with a series of punches. McCabe never stood a chance.

1 Hit Knockout – NHL Player gets Knocked Out Cold

Saturday 1 May 2010 @ 4:56 pm

Jesse Boulerice was known as a bad ass hockey player when he was in the NHL. In this video of a quick hockey fight, Aaron Downey of the Dallas Stores squares off against Jesse Boulerice.

The hockey fight starts off slowly, with both enforcers being hesitant. After a few seconds, Boulerice goes for a punch leaving Downey a wide open shot at his face, which he takes, hitting Boulerice square in the face and knocking him out cold. What a 1 punch K.O.

Record Setting NHL Hockey Brawl

Saturday 1 May 2010 @ 8:25 am

In this crazy hockey fighting video we see the bloody hockey brawl that set the NHL record for the most penalty minutes handed out ever with 419 minutes combined between the two teams. This bloody hockey brawl occurred on March 5th, 2004, near the end of the NHL regular season, in a game heated matchup between the Ottawa Senators and the Philadelphia Flyers.

The fighting starts with big time career NHL enforcer Rob Ray of the Ottawa Senators fighting versus another long time hockey enforcer Donald Brashear of the Philderlphia Flyers in a bloody hockey fight. After that fight, all hell breaks loose with every player on both teams fighting off the faceoff numerous times in a row. Even the two goalies, Patrick Lalime and Robert Esche, go at it but it’s a poor showing from the two of them.

This hockey fight was so big that it even has a BIG Wikipedia page about it!
