A great emotional hockey line brawl in the AHL between the Toronto Marlies and the Grand Rapids Griffins at the Ricoh Coliseum on November 24th, 2010. A huge total of 18 Fighting majors were given out for the fisticuffs that happened in this emotional hockey game.
The two teams hate each other so much during this fight that you see the refs having to tackle Darryl Boyce of the Toronto Marlies (#7) to rescue the Griffins’ Tomas Tatar (#27) after Boyce devastated him. I chuckled when I saw that. Another great was between Francis Pare of the Griffins (#9) and Matt Lashoff of the Marlis (#21) at center ice. Lots of harsh uppercut punches and hooks thrown.
Also, a rare time that the video of this extreme hockey fight was filmed by a fan and the footage is not from a television network. Great job by the fan filming this great hockey fight!
This is one serious hockey fight video and one of the craziest I’ve ever seen. The players on the ice from the minor league Muskegon Lumberjacks and Fort Wayne Komets get into a heart felt old time hockey fight on the ice. The players really hate each other, they don’t stop fighting even after the opponent is on the ice, they just continue punching the guy.
As the fight progresses, Brad Macmillion of the Komets jumps out of the penalty box to join in and gets into a shoving match with the ref. A few seconds later we see him again dodging the ref in a way that would make any NFLer proud, the ref flies through the air. There are multiple other instances of players shoving and ignoring the refs in this video. Robin Big Snake also leaves the penalty box to join in on the fight. That is one rare occurance.
This is one of the most heart felt fights I’ve ever seen!
Rick Rypien, an undrafted enforcer for the Vancouver Canucks gets pissed off at some Minnesota Wild fan who is clapping as he is leaving the ice. The whole incident was preceded by an on ice shoving match between the Minnesota Wild players and Vancouver Canucks players.
As he is walking off the ice, Rypien simply shoves the fan who is claping in his face. He is escorted away before things can get any worse though. For this shove, Rypien got a 6 game suspension (way too long in my opinion).
Miss the good old days of hockey fights between players and fans. Such as when the entire Boston Bruins team got in a fight with the New York Rangers fans and entered the stands back in 79.
This doesn’t happen every day! A hockey fan pisses off Toronto Maples Leafs enforcer Tie Domi. Domi then squirts some water at the fan, who gets really pissed off and falls into the penalty box, knocking over the glass. Tie Domi then shows the fan he’s not to be messed with.
This is one crazy video of a hockey fight including the fan. Remember to respect the enforcers!
Here’s a hockey fight video from another hockey league other than the NHL. A few of you might’ve heard of the LBAH, that is the “Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey” which is based out of Quebec in Canada. It is known at the most violent hockey league in the world as most games end up with many fights. The Wikipedia article says “The LNAH has the unofficial reputation as the world’s roughest hockey league”.
From 1996 to 2004, it was known as Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League and is composed of hockey players who want to remain pro but can’t make it into the higher leagues.
Here’s a great bench clearing hockey brawl between Thetford Mines Isothermic
In this crazy hockey fighting video we see the bloody hockey brawl that set the NHL record for the most penalty minutes handed out ever with 419 minutes combined between the two teams. This bloody hockey brawl occurred on March 5th, 2004, near the end of the NHL regular season, in a game heated matchup between the Ottawa Senators and the Philadelphia Flyers.
The fighting starts with big time career NHL enforcer Rob Ray of the Ottawa Senators fighting versus another long time hockey enforcer Donald Brashear of the Philderlphia Flyers in a bloody hockey fight. After that fight, all hell breaks loose with every player on both teams fighting off the faceoff numerous times in a row. Even the two goalies, Patrick Lalime and Robert Esche, go at it but it’s a poor showing from the two of them.
This hockey fight was so big that it even has a BIG Wikipedia page about it!
